At present, with the high speed of the machine tool industry, the load on the ball screw is increasing, and the screw with high precision and large lead is very necessary. Therefore, the ball screw has become an indispensable part of the machine tool. The maintenance method of ball screw is generally the same as that of other devices, which will affect work efficiency and prevent accident risk. The following points can effectively improve the service life:

（1）軸向間隙。滾珠絲杠副拆裝后，為保證反向傳動精度和軸向剛度，必須軸向間隙。雙螺母滾珠絲杠副間隙的方法為，利用兩個螺母的相對軸向位移，使兩個滾珠螺母中的滾珠分別貼緊在螺紋滾道的兩個相反的側面上。用這種方法預緊軸向間隙時，應注意預緊力不宜過大，否則會使空載力矩增加，從而降低傳動效率。

(1) Eliminate axial clearance. After the disassembly and assembly of the ball screw pair, the axial clearance must be eliminated in order to ensure the reverse transmission accuracy and axial stiffness. The clearance elimination method of double nut ball screw pair is to make the balls in the two ball nuts close to the two opposite sides of the threaded raceway by using the relative axial displacement of the two nuts. When using this method to pre tighten to eliminate the axial clearance, it should be noted that the pre tightening force should not be too large, otherwise it will increase the no-load torque and reduce the transmission efficiency.

（2）定期檢查滾珠絲杠副的潤滑。可用潤滑脂和潤滑油潤滑。潤滑脂一般加在螺紋滾道和安裝螺母的殼體空間內，而潤滑油則經過殼體上的油孔注入螺母的空間內。應每半年對滾珠絲杠上的潤滑脂更換一次，清洗絲杠上的舊潤滑脂，涂上新的潤滑脂。用潤滑油潤滑的滾珠絲杠副，可在每次機床工作前加油一次。

(2) Regularly check the lubrication of ball screw pair. It can be lubricated with grease and oil. Grease is generally added to the threaded raceway and the shell space for installing the nut, and lubricating oil is injected into the space of the nut through the oil hole on the shell. Replace the grease on the ball screw every six months, clean the old grease on the screw and apply new grease. The ball screw pair lubricated with lubricating oil can be refueled once before each operation of the machine tool.

（3）做好滾珠絲杠副的防護。滾珠絲杠副應避免灰塵或切屑、閉，如采用螺旋彈簧鋼帶套管、伸縮套管或折疊式套管等。安裝時將防護罩的一端連接在滾珠螺母的端面，另一端固定在滾珠絲杠的支承座上。

(3) Protect the ball screw pair. The ball screw pair shall avoid dust or chips and closing, such as spiral spring steel belt sleeve, telescopic sleeve or folding sleeve, etc. During installation, one end of the protective cover is connected to the end face of the ball nut, and the other end is fixed on the support seat of the ball screw.

如果滾珠絲杠處于隱蔽的位置，則可采用密封圈防護，將密封圈裝在螺母的兩端。接觸式密封圈防塵效果好，但因有接觸壓力，使摩擦力矩略有增加。非接觸密封可避免摩擦力矩，但防塵效果稍差。工作時需避免碰擊防護裝置，防護裝置有損壞要及時更換。

If the ball screw is in a concealed position, the sealing ring can be used for protection, and the sealing ring can be installed at both ends of the nut. The contact sealing ring has good dust-proof effect, but the friction moment increases slightly due to the contact pressure. Non contact sealing can avoid friction torque, but the dust-proof effect is slightly poor. Avoid hitting the protective device during operation, and replace the protective device in time if it is damaged.

（4）定期檢查支承軸承。應定期檢查絲杠支承與床身的連接是否松動，支承軸承是否損壞。如有問題應及時緊固松動部位并更換支承軸承。

(4) Check the support bearing regularly. Regularly check whether the connection between the lead screw support and the bed is loose and whether the support bearing is damaged. If there is any problem, fasten the loose part in time and replace the support bearing.
